This is not that type of dick less story, and it is not about about guys that are dick less either. I could go there, but decide it is time to be thankful instead, and take my mind off the undesirable piss-offs of last year. Finally able to move on and turn the page, and what the new page has on it is a tale of views of another time in space, and the greatness created with pen and paper. The review of a book of interest to me, and my gift to you to do a recapitulation for this season of change.
"Dickens and His World" by Ivor Brown-Generalizations done were dangerous, during the times of Dickens lifetime 1812-1870: Lots of events to change the views of so many products and services, and how they got place during that era. Another writer that created changes in so many things, his gifts are still here with us, and the pieces that he create tell stories of that time so that we can see the changes thought his eyes. Dreams to action is one way to see it, hopes, dreams and prayers are equal to most people, I am also included in that group as well.
London is the setting for the life of Dickens and his world, the changes in the guard of the older way of life, horses and buggy days coming to an end, and the trains that came in play, tracks were placed for the first time. Just think back to a day and age, before the turn of the century in rainy, wet and cold London. A reporter's point of view, shared before 1900 and what life was like for the people in that period. Happy and gay living the day in that time, is something that we can only know from the history recorded. Facts written are a little different from 3 party views being talked about, talk is cheap, and views are like noses everyone has a view to share. His story told from a different point of view, still being share today, long after his death. A candle lost in the wind, ages ago in a different part of the world.
Time to pick up a book, or time to find a movie, or time to turn the pages on the life and times of a great man with lots of stories to share, recorded and still taught as a different point of view, and the insights of the people were also covered in the things that he wrote. How the people lived, the conditions that they had to live with, and have the chance to be thankful that it is not your story. It is the same stories that we live today, just that the world as we know it had not been created yet, and have to take a little time to fall back in time for the sights shared with the masses then and the masses now to talk about a little more.
